VIP's largest medical clinic is the Forensic Urgent Care Center at LAC+USC Medical Center. Too often the trauma a victim suffers continues after the assault. It is prolonged by cold, impersonal emergency rooms and staff unfamiliar and unprepared in dealing with the youngest and most vulnerable victims of abuse. VIP offers a safe haven for all victims of violence. Our Center provides a warm and understanding environment that promotes security and starts them on the road to healing. For us it is about more than gathering evidence, though we remain at the forefront of the field working with law enforcement and social services to find justice and create positive outcomes for victims. It is about providing for patients in their most vulnerable time of need. The Forensic Urgent Care Center offers 24-hour medical and forensic services to vicitms in crisis as well as primary medical care to children and elders in ongoing, high-risk circumstances. All services are bilingual, multicultural, and victim sensitive.
