VIP Community Mental Health Center

14Located in East Los Angeles, adjacent to the VIP Forensic Urgent Care Center at LAC-USC Medical Center, the VIP Community Mental Health Center provides outpatient mental health services to victims of child abuse, children in foster care or at-risk for out of home placement, and their non-offending family members through a variety of evidence-based practices that have been developed with state and industry-leading partners to meet the unique and sometimes terrifying histories of the children we see.

Our goal is to improve the mental health of children who have been abused, neglected or placed away from family and community. We find that by enveloping a child of abuse in a continuum of care and support, becoming involved with their teachers, doctors and case workers, championing as advocates for their future and overall well being, we are insuring them a chance for a better life. The VIP CMHC uses a strengths-based, family-focused and client driven approach using a multidisciplinary treatment team that aims to help children who have experienced extreme trauma and abuse excel in life, school, their families, and the community. VIP is able to integrate medical and mental health assessments to provide comprehensive treatment to the child.

Services include:
