Who We Serve

VIP impacts approximately 20,000 foster children and other victims of child abuse, sexual assault, and elder abuse in Los Angeles County each year. Through our partnerships with LAC-USC Medical Center, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and private funders all services are provided to any victim in need regardless of ability to pay. All services are offered in English and Spanish by experts in their field trained in multidisciplinary interventions. Community-Based Assessment and Treatment Center/HUB: 323.226.3961

As part of the County of Los Angeles HUB system, CATC serves children 0-18 who are at heightened risk for abuse and neglect. CATC offers urgent assessment and ongoing medical and mental health care to any child in foster care in Los Angeles County. CATC also provides 24-hour specialized, victim sensitive forensic exams and crisis intervention to any child suspected of having suffered physical or sexual abuse. CATC also houses VIP's Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders sub-specialty clinic.

 

Sexual Assault Center: 323.226.3961

The Center provides 24-hour forensic examination, medical evaluation and treatment, and crisis intervention to victims of sexual assault of any age and gender.

 

VIP Community Mental Health Center: 323.221.4134

VIP CMHC services are available to children from 0 to 21 years of age who are eligible for Medi-Cal. The VIP CMHC is a Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health service provider. Referrals are made by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Office of Probation, Los Angeles Unified School District, foster family agencies, and family members.

APT provides forensic exams to elders over 65 and dependent adults of any age suspected having been physically or sexually abused. The clinic also provides on-going geriatric medical care for any patient of LAC+USC Medical Center.
