“To teach our children the impact of helping others is our greatest legacy;
a legacy of giving that enhances character and transcends generations.”
– Dr. Astrid Heppenstall Heger

Establish a legacy to ensure the long-term success of our programs and allow VIP to continue to care for every child who seeks safety and protection in Los Angeles by joining our Children’s Endowment. With your pledge to include VIP as a beneficiary in your will, life insurance policy, or other planned gifts, your name will be memorialized within our agency.

Caring for so many children and families is a big job and making sure our clients heal often takes a village.
And not everything our kids require is clinical; sometimes our kids need a positive adult role model or a caregiver needs child care while they meet with a therapist at VIP. This is where VIP’s amazing volunteers like you come in.
There are many ways you can volunteer and get involved:
Ready to volunteer? There are just a few requirements:
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or 21years old for mentoring
- Pass a background check through Live Scan.
- Had a TB test within the last 6 months.
- Pass a drug test
- Be reliable, responsible and trustworthy
For any questions about volunteering with VIP, please contact email@example.com
to meet the unique needs of our children and their families.
Get Your Office Involved
VIP is always looking to collaborate with new corporate and professional partners. If you or your office wish to get involved and sponsor projects to help make an impact on the children we serve, we have a few options to get your business involved:
DONATE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Your office can make significant impact on the children we serve by supporting VIP with in-kind professional skills and expertise. VIP is currently seeking energetic professional volunteers who are looking to take an active role in the areas of marketing, events coordination, graphic design, communications, social media, etc. Please contact the VIP Development Department to discuss potential opportunities.
In addition to our annual Back-to-School and Holiday Toy Drives, VIP is always looking for donations of new or very lightly used books, stuffed animals, and clothing. Organizing a drive in your office is a great way to come together as team for a common goal, while also having the added benefit of giving back to VIP! You’d be amazed at what your office can do if you work together! If you are interested in coordinating a drive in your office, please contact the VIP Development Department.
Double the impact of your gift! Many employers offer matching gift programs, which means that when you give an amount as an individual, the company then matches that donation (with very little work on your part!), effectively doubling or even tripling your original donation. Please check with your employer’s Human Resources department to see if they will match your donation to VIP!
Tour Our Children’s Medical Village
With our family of programs continuing to grow by leaps and bounds, we know that seeing believes. We invite you to join us for a tour of our VIP Children’s Medical Village and the S. Mark Taper Family Advocacy Center to see where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going. This free tour will offer you an overview of VIP’s life-changing programs and services and an up-close look at our state-of-the-art Children’s Medical Village, which sees over 20,000 victims of child abuse and family violence each year. Please allow an hour for the tour.
